History of Malaysia

Malaysia is a country that national federation located in South-East Asia. which is divided into 2 main areas separated by the South China Sea; namely Peninsular Malaysia, bordering Thailand in the north and Singapore in the south and East Malaysia, the northern part of Borneo Island that borders with Indonesia in the south and Brunei in the north. Malaysia is one of the pioneer countries of ASEAN.

Malaysia consists of 13 states and 1 Federal Territory (consists of 3 districts), 13 states in Malaysia include 11 on the Malayan Peninsula (West Malaysia) are Kedah, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Perak, Perlis Selangor. Johor Kelantan, Pahang Terengganu. and on the island of Borneo (East Malaysia) are Sabah and Sarawak, It also consists of the Federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.

Malaysia's capital city is Kuala Lumpur. The new administrative center is in Putrajaya, which is approximately a 30-minutes drive from the capital.
